Founder and CEO
Bin Ren is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SigTech. Previously he was the Chief Investment Officer of the Systematic Investment Group (SIG) at Brevan Howard Asset Management where he managed multiple UCITS investment funds. Prior to that, Bin was a partner and Portfolio Manager at Decura Group, responsible for quantitative research and investment. He started his career at Barclays Capital as an equity exotics trader managing quantitative investment strategies. Before university Bin skipped two grades in school and won three first prizes in the Chinese National Olympiads for high school students, because of which he was exempted from the Chinese National College Entrance Examination.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the national gifted education program of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Bin was directly admitted with full scholarship to the PhD program for computer science at Cambridge University, UK. While there he researched the Xen virtual machine monitor that is used by Amazon as the foundation of the AWS cloud-computing platform.
Chief Operating Officer
Andrew Liddle is the Chief Operating Officer of SigTech, responsible for all operational activity and strategic partnerships. Andrew works with our customers, partners and suppliers to develop the premier systematic research and investment platform for finance and academia. Prior to joining SigTech, Andrew worked in a variety of commercial roles across different industries, beginning his career with Ford Motor Company and subsequently working within insurance and investment banking. Most recently Andrew was a partner and head of procurement at Brevan Howard Asset Management, responsible for managing all of the research, data and infrastructure requirements for the firm for over a decade. Andrew received an MSci (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Durham.
David Comerford-Green is the General Counsel of SigTech and is responsible for the group's global legal and compliance function. Before joining SigTech in January 2022, David was the Director of Legal at Dext, a B2B SaaS platform offering bookkeeping and accountancy software solutions to accountancy firms and SMBs. During his time at Dext, David advised the business on its Series C fundraising, multiple M&A transactions and latterly its acquisition by Hg Capital. David qualified as a corporate lawyer at Mayer Brown and his legal career spans a broad range of financial institutions and other industries both in the UK and the Middle East. David holds a BA in History and Economics from the University of Manchester and subsequently attended the College of Law in London.
Angana is SVP, Product at SigTech. Prior to joining, Angana spent more than a decade in indices and quantitative strategies at Deutsche Bank, S&P Dow Jones Indices and State Street. Her roles have spanned research, development and marketing across asset classes, as well as building out State Street's ESG analytics. Angana has a degree in Computer Science from Madras University and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
Matthias Frank is the SVP, Engineering at SigTech, and one of the original authors of the SigTech platform. He spent the majority of his early career at UBS Investment Bank as a Quantitative Analyst in algorithmic trading strategies. In 2015 Matthias teamed up with Bin Ren at Brevan Howard Asset Management and was instrumental in building up the systematic research and trading platform. In early 2019 he moved to SigTech and is responsible for cloud, data, quant and platform engineering. Matthias holds a Diploma in Mathematics and Economics from Ulm University, Germany.
Having recently joined SigTech as SVP, Sales, John is growing and managing the sales and marketing teams in Europe and is expanding the business into the US. Previously with Nucoro, a company that builds money management platforms for financial services, he led a team in EMEA through a period of rapid growth. Prior to this, John built and ran the sales team at Red Deer, a leading fintech selling front office and compliance solutions to Hedge Funds and Asset Management. He graduated with Distinction from Cass Business School in London. John is from California, has lived in China and Hong Kong, and currently resides in North London with his wife and two children.
Having joined SigTech in December 2020 as VP, Marketing, Regina is managing SigTech’s external communications and drives the business growth strategy across Europe, the US and APAC regions. Previously with Chatham Financial, a financial risk management advisory and technology firm, Regina has led the global marketing team through a rapid expansion period. Prior to this, she built and led successful, global marketing teams for private equity investor Lyceum Capital, fintech provider Ullink and interdealer broker Tradition.
VP, Quantitative Analytics
Stuart is VP, Quantitative Analytics at SigTech. Prior to joining SigTech, Stuart spent more than five years at Brevan Howard Asset Management as a Quantitative Analyst and Portfolio Strategist. During this time, Stuart worked on developing quantitative analytics and researching systematic trading strategies. Stuart has a master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Oxford University, in the field of Quantum Information Theory.
VP, Investor Solutions
Daniel Leveau is VP, Investor Solutions at SigTech. He is an experienced senior manager in the finance industry with previous roles as CEO, deputy head of asset management and head of portfolio management. From 2007 until 2012 he was a partner and deputy head of asset management at Wegelin & Co. Private Bank and was instrumental for the further development of the asset management division, while continuing to be the lead fund manager for an extensive range of equity products in the long-only, long/short and market neutral space managing up to CHF 5 bn.
